Bakhoor is the name for a type of loose incense burned on charcoal disks to release its delicious scent.
Highly prized for its delicate uplifting and intoxicating aromas, this type of incense is hand-made and also called Mabthooth, meaning loose bakhoor.
It is lovingly made in small batches using costly and scarce ingredients such as the shavings of Agarwood (Oudh) mixed with natural resins such as Arabic gums, frankincense, benzoin, copal mastic, and aromatic stones. The mixture is then perfused with either natural essential oils.
A little goes a long way. It can also be added to aromatherapy burners, closets, or drawers without burning to scent space and clothes.
Sold by the gram which is enough for multiple uses.
